Meet the Physiotherapist?

Jackie Wells Jackie Wells specializes in the treatment of pelvic dysfunction in a private physiotherapy practice. She graduated, as a physiotherapist, from the division of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Toronto. Her 25 year career encompasses clinical/research, assessment and rehabilitation treatment programs. Jackie is a member of The College of Physiotherapists of British Columbia and The Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has been an executive member of the Women's Health Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Jackie is a professional member of The International Pelvic Pain Society, The National Vulvodynia Association, The Canadian Continence Foundation, The National Association for Continence and The Canadian Society of Intestinal Research. She has ongoing voluntary involvement with associated groups.

Since 1995, she has worked in the specialized field of pelvic dysfunction. Committed to providing the highest standard of quality of physiotherapy treatment practices, Jackie's professional postgraduate courses are extensive and ongoing.

In 1995, she held a clinical/research position in the Physiology Centre at Vancouver General Hospital where she established the successful urinary continence and other pelvic dysfunction programs. Jackie's growing interest in this field prompted her to work solely in the pelvic field in a multidisiplinary private practice located in Richmond, BC, Canada. This has given her more opportunity to work directly with patients, which she enjoys the most.
Jackie is known by her medical colleagues as a competent consultant, presenter and physiotherapist in the treatment of pelvic disorders. She has presented to doctors at medical grand rounds locally at the Richmond General Hospital and through the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of British Columbia Department of Medicine.
Her passion for her work has resulted in a high success rate of improvement in her patients' conditions. It is important to her to have a voice for the patients who suffer in silence and to promote the fact that there is treatment available, with good results, for patients with pelvic dysfunction.
